The Position

We wish to appoint an ambitious and diligent Assistant Manager in our Audit & Assurance Financial Services Department focusing on our securitization and capital markets portfolio. The position will offer you excellent advancement opportunities.

We work with all of the significant corporate service providers in Ireland who are responsible for day to day management and administration of securitization vehicles established in Ireland. We audit securitization vehicles that have been arranged by some of the most significant global financial institutions. The growth of our securitization practice has been significant and this growth is demonstrative of the strategic focus we place on the capitals market sector and the success we have had in delivering on our promise of excellent client service underpinned by high quality, technically robust work.

You will work closely with our international colleagues on cross border assignments and build close working relationships with the senior management team and partners alongside playing an active role in the ongoing development of our financial services division. This position requires and individual with strong technical, interpersonal and client relationship skills.


You will be given the opportunity to manage a portfolio of Financial Services sector clients with a predominant focus on securitization clients and carry out work to a high technical standard in a commercially beneficial manner. You will have the responsibility of leading a dedicated team including managing, organising and deploying staff on assignments as necessary.

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of financial services clients with a focus on capital market sector
  • Assist partners and directors in business development activities
  • Control the financial aspects of a client portfolio; including budgeting, negotiating, billing and recovery.
  • Effectively plan and resource staff on assignments.
  • Promote the firm’s values and beliefs, demonstrating integrity and maintaining an ethical stance, using flexibility and tact to express views as necessary.
  • Communicate team goals with clarity and set clear objectives for team members that are aligned to business plans and monitors and assesses performance, providing timely feedback and support as necessary.
  • Recruit, promote and develop talent within the team, ensuring equal opportunities and providing feedback.
  • Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of the firm’s risk management policies and operational procedures and ensures team adherence to these.
  • Ensure client expectations and issues are understood, developing collaborative relationships.
  • Contribution to learning & development and coaching of junior staff including participation in the delivery of internal training courses

Job requirements

  • Qualified accountant with financial services audit experience in a Big 4/Top 10 practice environment (minimum 2 years PQE)
  • Experience leading and operational supervision of teams in the capital market sector
  • Experience of managing relationships with clients
  • Technical proficiency in IFRS and FRS 102
  • Fluent English with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and project management capabilities
  • Ability to provide guidance and feedback to others
